Caledonia Mining's chief executive Mark Learmonth tells Proactive the company is buoyant after impressive results and 20,000 oz gold production in its latest quarter.

This puts the company in a strong position to achieve its annual target of 80,000 oz., he said.

"Higher production and good cost control drove a substantial increase in profits."

Learmonth also talks about the possible deal to acquire the high-grade open pit Bilboes project in Zimbabwe.
